Comfort Measures for Expectant Mothers

Health Lifestyle Motherhood Pregnancy Single Mothers

Labor is a difficult ordeal for many women who experience pain. But labor doesn’t have to be like that. There are comfort measures specifically designed to relieve a pregnant mama’s pain. These positions are often done with your husband, boyfriend or support person.

I wanted to learn more about comfort measures firsthand with doula Nikia Lawson, of Fort Worth, Texas. With over 22 years experience helping mothers through pregnancy and postpartum, Ms. Lawson was the perfect person to learn from.

Watch our video as she demonstrates several comfort measures that can be done during labor. At the time of filming, I was 3 months pregnant so many of the positions may not help me or you this early in pregnancy.
